Chess Place, located at 2501 East Piedmont Road, Suite 160, in East Cobb County, is recognized as THE venue for serious chess in the Northwest Metro Atlanta area, as well as providing a location to play chess in a pleasant and friendly environment. Our mission is to reach out to and draw in the new and casual players who desire a positive first experience to keep them coming back. We do this by offering tournaments in an attractive, clean, technologocally up-to-date, and inviting environment. There are a number of computers loaded with chess software as well as the technological pride of the venue: a "smart board" that can project a game in progress or allow one to move piece images by touch or even write over the board with electronic pens.

We strive to make ourselves welcoming and inviting to the novice and casual player at the same time as offering a serious challenge to the experienced player.

Currently, our parent company, Kid Chess, uses Chess Place to host scholastic events such as classes and summer camps separately from our adult-oriented fare. Please review our Calendar of Events for our latest schedule or register for one of our events here.
